This glass trade bead was recovered from the Haley’s Pond archaeological site, a historic 17th Neutral cabin site. The site was excavated in 1988 by the Museum of Ontario Archaeology. The chevron style of this bead suggests it was manufactured in Venice; a major source of the beads traded for beaver pelts and other commodities by European fur traders between the 16th and 20th centuries.
