Quite often the easiest things to remember are the little day-to-day things we do. Artist Huang Tzi-chin takes ten pictures of smiling children’s faces and walks them around eastern Taipei, almost like a living collective entity. Different spaces reflect the different memories of the past. These photographs of dressed up children in different poses have been made into coasters that will be given out to anyone who makes a purchase at the restaurant. This establishes a dialogue that intimately connects the consumer and the art. It also allows viewers to take home a taste of eastern Taipei and a sense of nostalgia.
