Satish Gujral is a painter, sculptor and also a well known architect. He has been the architect for the Belgium Embassy at New Delhi which was selected as one of the best built buildings of the 20th century by the International Forum of Architects.

‘The Tree of Life’ is a semi-abstract form created with burnt wood. The intricate sculpture has been rendered to create a complex labyrinthine structure with the use of material like pigment, beads and shells.
