In the central panel of the triptych the Crucifixion and the Lamentation are depicted in two successive registers. This central theme is flanked by three saints and Hosios Christodoulos in the right and left panel, both divided in two zones. The presence of Christodoulos suggests that the triptych was probably commissioned by the Monastery. The rendering of the figures, the stylistic approach as well as the iconographical types used, lead to the attribution of the icon to Cretan artists. The work was preserved by Ioannis Sotiriou.
