An American supply truck crosses Mulberry 'A,' a floating harbour and roadway used to load troops and supplies onto 'Omaha' Beach in Normandy, France, mid June 1944. It was in use from June 9 until a storm destroyed it on June 19. It's sister, Mulberry 'B' at Arromanches, survived the storm and used successfully used throughout the Normandy invasion.
