Watercolor painting of the tug Ralph Ross. The vessel is shown from a port side view. It is red below the waterline, has a black hull with white trim, brown companionways and trim around wheelhouse windows, a black stack, a black and white flagpole, a gold rooster on top of pilothouse, and a gold nameboard and trailboard on bow. Two men are on deck at the stern, one on the wheelhouse deck. The background features an ice house and a three mast schooner. Some surfaces of the canvas were left unpainted. The upper right corner of board has broken off.
