Ornaments Collection: Two beaded squares made of white, black, blue, green, yellow and orange beads. Attached by two separate pieces of black and white beadwork, long enough to fit around head. Beaded squares hang over ears. Made for young men by their girlfriends. The beadwork covers the ears to prevent the men hearing the voices of other girls wishing to attract them. Ndebele. Purchased from Institute of Race Relations.
