The various forms of Uma-Maheshvara depict Siva and Parvati in the same panel. In most of these panels, Uma sits on the lap of Siva. Siva is identifiable because of the damaru (hand drum) and trishula (trident) on his back hands, while Uma holds a fruit. On either side of the central panel are Ganesha and Kartikeya, who is seated on his mount ─ the peacock. The mount of Siva, the bull, is under his feet and a crocodile-like creature is under the feet of Uma.
