Uniform of a mining official

This sumptuously decorated uniform belonging to a mining official is highly different than the standard miner's uniform of the time. In Prussian mining, Steigers were often promoted into civil service in addition to administrative employees. This uniform was owned by the mining official Nikolaus Heinitz.
