Uniform

This uniform belonging to the mining official Ferdi Schmitt (1917–2004) consists of a miner's uniform with stand-up collar. A number of black fringes are stitched above and below the arm badge, which shows a hammer and pick. Brass buttons decorated with hammer and pick adorn the uniform throughout. five on the forearm, eight in the middle and another five on both sides of the chest. The uniform also comprises the "Schachthut" with a white plume, braided line and hammer and pick in the middle.
