“Unstable Equilibrium' is a ballet for seven dancers; three men and four women. An uneven number. Instability is the starting point. Or rather, apparent stability, that constantly turns to instability, and the other way around. I have tried to avoid ensemble dance, because ensemble always creates a feeling of order and stability. The same goes for pas de trois, pas de quatre, etcetera. Whenever that suddenly comes up, I change course.” – Graeme Watson
