The piece was made for the "Talavera Contemporánea" exhibition held by the UDLAP and Uriarte Talavera in 1999.
Gustavo Pérez has a long career as potter, with recognition inside and outside México. Pérez work is characterized by investigation and innovation of shape in clay and similar materials, placing his pieces in the category of Contemporary Pottery and in the case of the pieces that owns the UDLAP Art Collection, Contemporary Talavera.
