Biography: Himmat Shah graduated from Sir J.J. School of Art. He completed his Masters from M S University, Baroda and also studied under S W Hayter at Atelier 17, Paris. In 1981, he received a research grant from Lalit Kala Akademi to work at Garhi Studio, New Delhi. He has been a recipient of many awards such as Sahitya Kala award and Kalidas Samman given by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Himmat Shah lives and works in Jaipur.
