Lu Kunfeng was born in Pingyi, Shandong Province in 1934. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1964, and taught in West Germany. He is currently member of China Artists Association. He was a professor of China Academy of Fine Arts and chairman of Zhejiang Flower and Bird Painting Association. Many of his works have been collected by the Museum of Congress, Columbia University Museum, Cornell University Museum, National Library of England, University of Toronto Library of Canada and Hamburg Museum of Germany. His biography is included in various dictionaries in China and International Biography Records of Celebrities published in Britain and the United States. He published a variety of albums and anthologies, such as Lukunfeng Painting Collection, Lukunfeng Lan Zhupu, Mozhu Yaoshu, Lukunfeng Molan Shuo, etc.
