Zhang Guang was born in Changchun, Jilin Province in 1941. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1965. He is good at drawing characters and animals, especially horses and cattle. Professional painter in the Creation Room of People's Art Publishing House. National first-class artist. Member of China Artists Association and Senior Title Judge of Fine Arts, Ministry of Culture. His representative works include Muguitu, Taqingqiu, Plateau Flowers, and Cattle Herdsman at the Source of the Yellow River. He published "Selected Paintings of Zhang Guang", "Collections of Paintings of Zhang Guang", "Bainiu Tu" and other works. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by ABT Celebrity Biography Institute.
