Born in Qamishli in 1976, Yasser Safi graduated from the Department of Etching, Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University; in 1997. He got a Specialist Diploma in 1999. He worked as a teacher and art supervisor in Syria and the United Arab Emirates, and won several awards. He held a number of solo exhibitions in Beirut, Damascus, Cairo, Sharjah, Amman, and Brussels. He also participated in group exhibitions in France, Germany, Beirut, Dubai, New York, Rome, and Jordan. Yasser’s work includes photography, sculpture, and etching, where he addresses human relations and childhood. His recent works have been influenced by the circumstances in Syria.
