This thangka depicts a caitya in the centre inside which Usnisavijaya is shown flanked by the two boddhisattvas Avalokitesvara and Vajrapani, while below are four wrathful deities Acala, Takkiraja, Niladanda and Mahabala. Usnisavijaya is a goddess born of a cult surrounding Usnisavijaya-dharani and also has close connections with caitya cult.
