Spring driven with lever escapement. Date indicator. Self-winding. Caliber L890.1.
In the mid seventies of the 20th century, Longines developed several of its own movement with automatic winding and two main springs in two barreles one on top of the other (L890, L990.1). This disposition allows the reduction of watch diameter. At the end of the century Longines used mainly ETA movements.
