Following a brutal police crackdown on peaceful march of students late November 17, prominent members of Charter 77 and other dissident organizations, students and actors established the Civic Forum as a mass popular movement for reforms in Prague´s theatre Cinoherni klub on November 19, 1989. Vaclav Havel speaks at the meeting.
