Vado was the name used for this type of hanger when a wooden log (mostly casuarina wood) was used in its making. This vado was suspended from the wooden beam in the store room of an Adivasi house in Malpura. The family used the vado to hang mattresses and quilts that they used while sleeping on khaat.
