The straight foot supports a long ball-shaped body, with a gradually narrowing neck. The top rim is rounded, straight. The plain surface is painted with "Tiffany-technique" with ornaments similar to layered glass. Both sides have dark crimson tulip heads among golden tulip leaves, reaching up the neck, among fantasy ribbon motifs. One stripe around the blue double-contours of the plain patches was painted over with special protection cover before reduction firing, thus here the eozin colours remained bright and glittering. The decoration of the vase effectively contrasts, due to the fine shading of warm and cold colours as well as matte and bright surfaces, and also the use of transparent and coloured glazes. There is no remark beside No. 2870 in Décor book 8. of the Zsolnay factory - the designer of this extraordinary object is unknown.
