A monochrome blue and off-white Qingbai-ware vase, in the shape of an onion. The body shows four foliated frames, each embellished with lotus flower motifs. The lotus flower embellishments are executed in a combination of different techniques, namely incise, cut and appliqué. The upper part of this vase is covered with a silver lid, which was not part of the original from China, but is an addition, made in Indonesia.
