Josep Guardiola i Bonet was not only a painter, sculptor and drawer, but also one of the most famous Spanish ceramicists of the 20th century. Amongst other recognitions of his work, he received awards in the Fine Arts Exhibition of Madrid in 1924, in the Exhibition of Decorative Arts of Paris in 1925, in the International Exhibition of Philadelphia in 1926 and in the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1929.
