Vase

Vase made of colored iridescent glass. This is a design from an unknown author made by the Lötz Witwe factory in Klostermühle in Bohemia (current Czech Republic) in 1904. It represents the unique style of the Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) due to the presence of abstract decorative motifs and curved and irregular lines. This factory created glass that imitated semiprecious stones and also acquired the patent to make iridescent glass, similar but chronologically prior to Tiffany’s “favrile” glass.
