A red, underglazed 14th century vase, rarely found in Indonesia. At the time this piece was crafted, the red underglazing technique had not yet been perfected, and as a result, instead of a clear red, the effect of underglazing often produced other colors, such as brownish - red, brown, or even black. This piece, displaying a perfect red color and thousands crackle glazing effects, is thus a very rare find. The top of the vase is covered with a silver lid, embossed with floral embellishments.
