This microscope has a base with 3 folding legs. The center features a cylindrical pedestal, which is joined to the pillar using an articulated joint system that allows the instrument to tilt. The pillar is cuboid with a rack mechanism that allows the square stage to move. The stage has holes for a clip to hold the sample in place, and a magnifying glass and large central hole that creates a wide field of view for examining the item. At the top of the pillar is an arm into which a conical-cylindrical tube is screwed, with an eyepiece and lens at the ends. The tube can move from front to back using a rack-system screw. The mirror is supported on the pillar and can move sideways, forward, and backward. It can be used as a simple microscope by not putting it into the tube. Instead, a magnifying glass is used to view the item being examined closely.
