Vertical aerial photograph of Canterbury, Kent

This vertical aerial photograph was taken by the Royal Air Force in June 1942. It shows part of central Canterbury around a month after the city was bombed during the 'Baedeker' raids of spring 1942. Visible are bomb craters, roofless and severely damaged buildings, and tethered barrage balloons.
