Computer Gaming World was a magazine dedicated to PC gaming, founded in 1981 bu Russell Sipe and originally published in Anaheim, California. Issues focused on game reviews and previews, industry news, strategy tips, feature stories, and interviews. Beginning in the mid-1990, CGW included demo discs with the magazine, allowing readers to sample some of the games mentioned in that particular issue. CGW published a total of 268 issues before closing in November 2006, with publisher Ziff Davis replacing it with Games for Windows: The Official Magazine.
