Video game:Sony PlayStation 3 LittleBigPlanet

Originally released in 2008, LittleBigPlanet is a platforming video game franchise created by British video game developer Media Molecule for the Playstation 3.

The game takes place in the fictional land of Craftworld. Players control a Sackperson, a humanoid creature made of sackcloth and fluff. Players guide their Sackperson across levels by running and jumping in order to navigate the landscape and avoid enemies. Special tools known as Character Enhancement Objects give players new skills. These Character Enhancement Objects include items such as a Grappling Hook and a Jetpack.

Sackpeople are highly customizable, and as players progress through levels they can collect costume items that can be used to dress up their character. Costume items can be found in special Prize Bubbles, which may also contain items to decorate Craftworld. Smaller bubbles known as Score Bubbles may be found throughout the game and collected for points.

One of the highlights of LittleBigPlanet is the game's community features. The game's multiplayer mode supports local and online groups of up to four players. To encourage cooperative play, sections of the game require multiple players in order to collect the maximum Score and Prize Bubbles.

Players can also create levels in LittleBigPlanet's creation tool. The game's creation tool gives players the free rein to design fully functioning game levels. Players may use in-game objects to decorate their levels, as well as create their own stickers with pictures taken with the Playstation Eye camera. The game also contains a variety of audio tracks that players can choose from to create their desired atmosphere. When completed, player created levels can be published to the game's online community and then played and rated by players all over the world.

The series has already seen a number of sequels and spin-offs in its short history. In addition to games for the PS3, LittleBigPlanet games have been released for both the Playstation Portable (PSP) and Playstation Vita handheld systems. The Vita game utilized the Vita's touch screen controls to interact with objects in the game.

In late 2010, LittleBigPlanet Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves was released on the Playstation Network. This downloadable game utilized the Playstation's Move motion controller and Playstation Eye camera in the gameplay. In 2012, LittleBigPlanet Karting was released for the Playstation 3. Unlike previous LittleBigPlanet games, Karting focused on go-kart racing rather than platforming.
