This is a close-up photograph of the relief work seen along the roofline of the Western India House situated along P M Road in the Fort neighbourhood of Mumbai. Here you notice, from left to right, a man dressed in regional attire carrying a wooden plough on his shoulder, saree clad women carrying harvest over their head, farmers using cattle to till his land, scenes from the celebrations around the harvest festival, men pushing carts full of other goods, some machinery that aids with the post harvest work and some common seen in the agrarian landscapes of India. This stunning panel was carved by Indian scupltors N.A. Dere and K.B. Sawardekar.
