The members of the British-Scandinavian ISR Collaboration "manning the rails" of the wide-angle spectrometer at intersection I-2. The equipment of this high-momentum version of experiment R603 consists of scintillation counter hodoscopes, wire spark chambers, and spherical high-pressure threshold Cerenkov counters before and after an analysing magnet. The equipment was mounted on a movable platform. The smaller magnet suspended above the spectrometer measured the momentum of cosmic rays, for calibration of the muon range telescope of experiment R204, housed in the aluminium foil hut on the other side of the Intersection.
