In this view, the highly decorated Galerie des Guises in the Chateau d'Eu is lighted by three large crystal chandeliers and additional wall candelabra. The coffered ceiling in a square pattern reflects the design of the inlaid floor. Portrait paintings of the Renaissance period are placed in panels along the walls. A lone visitor, hat in hand, gazes up at a painting.
