Vikings

This silver disc brooch belongs to a group of very rare, richly decorated garment clasps. Many abstract representations of animals can be seen. Until now, altogether only about 10 similar disc brooches are known. None of them comes from a grave; the valuable pieces were probably put in the ground in honour of the gods.
