The Virgin and Child are depicted in the upper part of this icon and the lower third is divided into three boxes that house narrative scenes, sharing a common golden background. The Virgin leans his head slightly towards the Child, while Jesus, in full face is looking the viewer and holds His hand in blessing gesture.
