As in the other industrial arts sectors, avant-garde arts born at the beginning of the 20th century such as cubism and abstraction found an echo in the creations of Henry Ball, creator of the renowned Calais lace. Geometric patterns were also prized in the fashion of the 1920s, especially on dancing dresses for which the use of lace was common.
Inscription on the label: "3757/90/dégradé/Violine/col.12/47 ".
