“I started dancing for NDT in 2002. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity of working with countless dancers and choreographers. They left an incredible influence on my work and creative expression. But no matter how much they defined my identity as a choreographer, the creating of this piece was a process that challenged my identity as an artist.
During the creation of 'Blink of an Eye', certainty changed into doubt: Was the tempo right? Wat was the right moment? What’s the essence of human contact? Is there an answer to all of this? Intrigued by these thoughts, I wanted to find out wat lay behind them: the insecurities and hesitations that the dancers themselves show in their struggle to find their own answers.” – Medhi Walerski
