This wall clock is based on the Nintendo video game Super Mario Bros. 2. The game functioned as a sequel to the original Super Mario Bros. and enabled players to choose between controlling Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Peach. Gamers traversed through a mysterious land known as Subcon in order to save its denizens from the clutches of an evil frog king named Wart. Super Mario Bros. 2 was unique for the fact that players had to hit enemies with items like vegetables in order to defeat them, rather than by jumping on them (as is typical in the Mario franchise). Additionally, the game introduced a health bar and was the first Mario game that enabled gamers to choose between four different characters. Super Mario Bros. 2 was adapted from a game called Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic (Dream Factory: Heart-Pounding Panic) and sold over seven million copies.
