Passenger pigeon (Ectopistes migratorius)

Once their swarms darkend the sky, today they are extinct: the Passenger Pigeon (Ectopistes migratorius).The last bird died 1914 in captivity in Cincinnati. The preparation of a Passenger Pigeon can be seen in the Landesmuseum Natur und Mensch.
