The Victoria and Albert Museum
London, United Kingdom

This watch has a movmement by Adamson et Millenet in a case made by a casemaker with the mark 'JAA'. The case has Paris marks for 1775-6 and there is a band of neo-classical decoration around the case which is original. Many years later, in about 1860-90, the watchcase was transformed by Auguste Perette, a goldsmith in Paris. He enamelled the back of the case in the rococo style and added a chatelaine in the same style.
