Watching You!

"Watching You!" was a 30-second animation of a pair of eyes looking down onto Times Square. Created from over 600 drawings made by the artist Leslie Sardiñias. The artist cleverly inverted the relationship of the observer to that of the observed. In this work, Sardiñias pays tribute to the enigmatic character Cheshire from "Alice in Wonderland", whose eyes hypnotize and enchant the viewers. "Watching You!" marks the first time that the artist exhibited animated works in the public realm.
