A watercolour of a floodlit sunken garden at Hampton Court Palace painted at night with banqueting house behind, statues, fountain and colourful bedding on small terraces and signed W.H. Keyte. Labelled on the back, 'The Enchanted Garden. King Henry VIII's Pond Garden at Hampton Court, probably the best known and most popular garden in the Empire, flood-lit for the first time on occasion of Coronation, May 1937'. Also stamped 'Picture by Walter H. Keyte, 28 Elgar Avenue, Surbiton'. Gift of Miss Kit Lynch, MBE.
