Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Soviet runner, Vladimir Kuts, winning the gold medal ahead of Englishman, Gordon Pirie, in the 5,000m at the Melbourne Olympic Games. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. Kuts also won the 10,000m and was described by The Argus as 'The Man of the Games'.
