Since the end of the eighteenth century the lead of the Sierra de Gádor (Almería) was exploited as a monopoly by the Crown. The factories that in the Presidio (Fondón) and Canjáyar made the gray metal ingots, then sent them to a warehouse in the port of Almeria. This state monopoly disappeared with the mining law of 1825 that allowed the free exploitation of metals. In this book record of the income of the lead are recorded the shipments entered in Almería.
