The Ake Arts and Book Festival is a week of cultural, artistic, literary, musical indulgence.The Ake Arts and Book Festival 2016 held in Abeokuta, Ogun state, commenced with a formal welcome ceremony with exciting announcements artistic performances and the launch of the yearly Ake Review (Volume 3). In attendance was a number of dignitries including; Alake of Egbaland and a host of amazing creatives.It was hosted by Wana Udobang.The Theme for the 2016 Ake Arts and Book Festival was "BENEATH THIS SKIN".
