Many steel mills showed employees a variety of safety films, whether produced in house or through outside companies. Many films relied on showing grisly accidents or the aftermath of injuries to cajole workers into compliance. While less gruesome than some examples, the film "Knowing is Not Enough" discussed in this article from a US Steel publication is fairly typical of films of these kinds.
