When The Clouds Clear

The first video work created for Hospital Rooms, 'When The Clouds Clear’, is both a monolithic moving painting, and an imaginary port-hole, as if the rectangle were a window looking out to sea. The work is centred around the sense of transcendence that can be found when focussing in on simple forms - the idea of the mesmeric and the shifting perception of time. Where one can lose oneself in the flow of repetitive forms such as light dancing on a surface of water, a certain sound or visual experience causes the slowing down, the focussing of attention. A simultaneous heightening and calming of the senses.
