The work Who Cares About the Real appropriates a photo, published in The Guardian last summe r, of a sumptuous banquet that took place before a G8 summit to discuss the food crisis in Japan. It satirizes the bubble way of life in First World countries in the face of the food crisis with a seemingly happy and theatrical scene.
In 11 Steps Towards Happiness, the texts on each piece are quoted from the Canada Emergency Measures Organization - 11 Steps to Survival. Through the imaginative scenes of self-defended systems in a potential catastrophe, the viewers finally realize the impossibility of their protections in reality and the gap between fantasy (a safe sweet life) and real disasters.
