LEE Jungjin (1961- ) brushes a light-sensitive emulsion onto the surface of handmade hanji and prints it out. Individuated by the integration of originality and East Asian sentiments, Lee’s work has been highly esteemed for opening an untrodden path for fine art photography. Made during the years between 2004 and 2007, her “Wind” series shows the landscapes of the deserts and wilds in South Korea, the U. S. and Canada. As the title suggests, Lee’s artistic concern lies in the visual enunciation of the immaterial human mind transcendent of place and time.
