Beside windows the overall architecture of these houses complement the style. A unique feature seen in the front of this house is the balcao (a porch) that allows for interaction with the outdoors. Also what is interesting to see is the old traditional windows getting replaced by new glass windows. And both of the styles coexist in the same house.
