The Wiener Werkstätte also became known for its innovative designs of exquisite glassware in a variety of combinations and forms. In keeping with their goal to artistically aestheticize all areas of life, the Viennese architect Otto Prutscher created delicate glass objects such as tall-stemmed sherry and champagne glasses, and artful vessels for wine and liqueur in a wide array of colors. The brightly colored glasses impress by way of his refined tuning of the shaft’s delicate patterns to the elegant motif on the goblet. The tulip-shaped and elongated stems give special grace to Prutscher’s hand-blown vessels.
